Bob, VK6POP has advised that there was some interest shown recently about the Oceania DX contest.
Contest dates are:
06:00 UTC (1400 WST) 5-6 October Phone and,
06:00 UTC (1400 WST) 12-13 October CW. (I don’t think this will be us)
You can check for more information at the Oceania DX website. Note that the website still says 2023 , but the above dates are correct, and there are no rule changes (Confirmed with the organisers).
The start time is 2.00pm our time. Whether we can do a 24 hour effort is up for discussion, but we could certainly work 2pm until late just for the heck of it.
VK Contest logger will do the job, however it may pay us to use a more sophisticated app such as N1MM , with added extras like automatic QRZ lookup, rotator control, perhaps even coffee making?
Anyway, there’s time to discuss – meanwhile set the date aside, 5th October, and let’s take it from there.
Oh – and lets make sure the Amp is feeling better. Andy is following that up.
